Family Members

Leo Minix
Owner and operator of Minix Ranch LLC, Leo is a proud retired Air Force Crew Chief with 32 years of military service. As a first-generation rancher with over 35 years of experience, he has built a thriving operation that now includes the second generation of his family working alongside him.
Leo is dedicated to upholding the ranch’s core values of hard work, honesty, and integrity. His favorite part of ranching is calving season, when he gets to support the growth and development of the herd.

Barb Minix
Barb is one of the original owners of Minix Ranch LLC. With a bachelor’s degree in business from Emporia State University in Kansas, she brings both leadership and balance to the ranch. Known affectionately as the “HR Lady,” Barb is the steady presence who keeps the team and animals working in harmony.
She enjoys riding horses and bringing the cows home, combining her love for animals with her commitment to the ranch’s success.

Josh Minix
Josh Minix is the rancher and tinkerer behind this website. He planned, designed, and built it to make it simple for customers to schedule processing, choose cuts, and stay connected with Minix Ranch.

Stacey Brown
As cow boss and head of day-to-day operations, Stacey carries forward her family’s tradition with passion and expertise. She is an accomplished rodeo athlete, a skilled veterinary technician with many years of experience, and a trained meat processor with years of specialization.
Stacey ensures the health and well-being of the ranch’s cattle, pigs, and sheep while guaranteeing that customers receive the highest-quality meat. Her favorite part of ranching is sorting cows and calves by horseback, blending her love of animals with her dedication to the ranch.

Tyler Brown
Tyler serves as co-cow boss and co-head of day-to-day operations. He keeps the ranch running smoothly, repairing anything that breaks and working alongside Leo to produce the ranch’s hay.
A lifelong rodeo cowboy, Tyler retired due to injuries but found a new purpose here at Minix Ranch. He takes pride in the farming side of operations and especially enjoys being part of the hay production that sustains the livestock.

Spencer Freckles Brown
Spencer is the start of the third generation of the Minix Ranch. We have high hopes that he will continue on the great legacy and tradition that the generations before him have set in place, while adding his own ideas and innovation to carry the Ranch on for many generations.
His first name comes from his Great Grandparents last name on his fathers side. The Spencers were long-time cattlemen working on big ranches all across the country.
His middle name Freckles comes from the Professional Rodeo Hall of Fame Bull Rider Warren “Freckles” Brown. Freckles Brown is most known for his ability to ride the bull Tornado at the age of 46, ending Tornados 220+ buck off record!
